Because the only way to achieve weight loss is by being in a calorie deficit. In order to be in a calorie deficit you need to consume fewer calories than what your body is burning daily.
There is no real way to know how many calories your body burns daily but we can track how many calories we eat!
There are calculators online that can tell you what your specific daily calorie intake should be because everyone is different. It varies by height, weight, age, and sex. So for me that number is about 1,500 calories a day to achieve weight loss but it can be different for you!
A short cut some people take to figure out what their daily calorie intake should be is a simple math equation 🙂
Take your goal weight and multiply that between 10 and 12. I would choose 12 so you can eat more food and still lose weight!
You can track your calorie food intake by using apps like My Fitness Pal. It’s very easy to scan items to add them or search for them on the app. Try to be consistent for 4 weeks and I promise you will see results!
You don’t need to workout too see results but it definitely helps! 💪🏽
