Make crispy baked vegetables (sweet potatoes & carrots) chips at home with only a few basic steps, homemade baked vegetable chips may be prepared that are healthy.

The proper oven temperature is the first step. I’ve discovered that the ideal range is 400–425 F. Your choice of temperature may vary depending on where you live. I would experiment with both to discover which is most effective for you.

Vegetable should be thoroughly scrubbed and dried with a paper or cotton towel.

When slicing, thin is ideal. Cut it into 1/16-inch-thick slices. I wouldn’t cut them into slices wider than 1/8 inch. If you’re good with a knife, slice away.

Add a little olive oil and toss. Either oil the potatoes directly on the baking sheet with a basting brush, or combine them together in a bowl. Just enough oil should be used to gently cover each slice; do not use more.

On a baking sheet, layer. Make sure the potatoes are separated when you layer them so that the heat has enough of room to reach every chip.

The perfect bake. Bake for 10 minutes, carefully remove from the oven, flip each one over with tongs, and bake for a further 7 to 8 minutes. As they get closer to the end, they will start to cook quickly, so be sure to keep an eye on them. Enjoy!
