What’s up it’s Chris Haria today I’m going to show you how to make five healthy meals and each one will cost you under $5 to make whether you’re someone struggling financially and still want to make gains or you’re just looking to eat healthier this is the video for you I’ll

Be sharing the cheapest but best quality foods that you can buy on a budget to get your protein in along with the receipts from the grocery list a breakdown of the costs and a breakdown of the macros to show you that you can still save and eat good healthy tasting

Food with dishes that will be high in protein for you to build muscle and low in calories to allow you to be on a deficit and stay shredded and burning fat I’ll make them from complete scratch so you’ll be able to follow along and make them yourselves and you’ll get to

See how these meals are not only healthier but also cheaper than the fast food options and possibly even the meals that you’re eating right now so let’s get started with the first one all right we’re about to make some chicken sweet potato and sauteed spinach one of my

Favorite meals for making games while staying low in calories so that you can stay shredded so for this meal I was able to get 1 lb of sweet potato for $153 and since I’m only using 7 oz that’s going to come out to being 63 next I picked up a pound of chicken

Breast for $4.99 I’m only using 7 oz of chicken breast so that’s going to be $2.18 I found a 9 oz bag of spinach for $33.39 since I’m using 4 oz of spinach that’s going to be around $148 then I picked up a 68 o bottle of oil for

$13.49 most people have this in their house but if you don’t go ahead and pick one up since I’m only using half a teaspoon of oil that’s going to be about 1 cent I also got a 16 oz bottle of liquid aminos that’s going to be $663 and since I’m only using one

Teaspoon that’s going to only cost me7 so in total that’s going to be $437 for this meal so first things first I’m going to grab my 7 ounces of sweet potato and throw them in the microwave for 4 minutes all right now we’re going to start cooking our chicken so let’s

Start heating up the stove want to get nice and hot put some oil in there now I’m going to season my chicken with complete seasoning this is basically garlic onions some urgent spices going put some in the pan so that I don’t burn the meat too and it helps it glaze a little

Easier let’s drop that in there You can already tell by the smell this is going to taste way better with a little bit of extra garlic all right now that we’ve glazed it a bit let’s put down the heat so that it can thoroughly Cook and Cook a little deeper into the meat without it burning it all right

While that’s finishing up let’s check on our sweet potato oh yeah this is ready let’s take a look on the inside nice and white outside glazed smells amazing all right time to Plate this this chicken is ready to go last but not least we’re going to go

Ahead and cook our spinach so I’m going to throw this into the pan all this spinach is four servings but when you cook it all the way down it turns into a really small serving size packed with nutrients Stu so it’s basically like a superfood so we’re going to throw these

In here I’m going to be using Liquid Aminos this is only 5 calories if you have this inside your house already this would be perfect go ahead and sprinkle that in but if you don’t you can always put in a little bit of salt a little bit

Of oil definitely want want to add some garlic in there as well go ahead and sauté that Down and there we have it 4 oz of spinach sauteed all the way down to this small little set right Here there you Go all right looks great what do you think let’s see chck is good yeah for real yeah real talk wow that’s should go I would even lie to you all right there you go and he really would never lie to me so I appreciate you bro only took like 5 minutes to make

$437 that’s the best $437 I’ve ever spent but let’s see what else we can get for like five bucks all right on our left side we have our chicken sweet potatoes and sauteed spinach for $437 584 calories 18 G of fat 37 G of carbs and 66 g of protein and on the

Right we have a KFC chicken sandwich for $549 which is 650 calories 35 G of fat 49 G of carbs and 34 g of protein basically half the amount of protein double the amount of fat and more expensive than the chicken sweet potato and saut spinach and when it comes to

The ingredients we have 7 oz of chicken 7 oz of sweet potato and 4 oz of spinach and a teaspoon of amino acids the nutrients from the ingredients on this dish is going to be way more beneficial than the breaded battered Fried Chicken this buttery lowquality bread along with

I don’t even know what this is Mayo Al mayo on the other side you tell me which one you would rather eat all right you know I had to add a vegan option we’re going to be making some vegan hamburgers I was able to get six plant-based burgers for

$16.49 that’s actually a little expensive but I guess vegan plant-based burgers are one Burger is only $2.7 next I was able to get six keto sandwich thins for $7.75 I’m going to use one roll so that’s going to be .29 next I got a pound of tomatoes for $1.99 since I’m

Using 1 o that’s going to come out to being 12 then I got a 9 oz bag of spinach for $3.39 I’m using half an ounce of spinach so that’s going to be around 18 and in this dish I’ll be using the oil again we already purchased that for $13.49 and

Since I’m using half a teaspoon that’s going to be again 1 cent so in total this meal is going to cost me $4.3 first off of course you want to heat up our pan put some oil in there this is pretty simple if you ever made a

Burger before you just slap that in there got it cook on both sides actually forgot to put the seasoning so I’m just going to put that on real quick right now put the other side a little bit of garlic all right take a look at that

Patty I mean that literally took like 2 minutes and 30 seconds Max 3 minutes and we’re ready to go get this off going to go ahead and toast our bread and in the meantime we can go ahead and start topping our Patty some Spinach right nice and toasty got a little bit of ketchup in there the lid on it under five bucks that looks like a beautiful hamburger to me ingredients are there The Price is Right now it’s time to give it a taste test I’ve actually never had a vegan burger

Before it’s actually tastes really good I was definitely skeptical on the burger being vegan but I think the combination of everything the crispy bread the fresh ingredients the fresh spinach Tomatoes The Light amount of condiments on the top and then I mean the burger is great

Five stars out of five let’s see what else we could have gotten with a similar price all right let’s see how these two burgers hold up on the left we have our vegan burger that cost $4.3 it’s 338 calories 16 G of fat 12 G of carbs and

32 g of protein and on the right we have the Big Mac for $531 which is 590 calories 34 G of fat 46 G of carbs and only 25 g of protein so the Big Mac actually has less protein four times the amount of carbs double

The fat and almost double the amount of calories so obviously this is going to be way healthier for you and you’re going to make way more gains eating our burger and when it comes to the ingredients I mean look you have real leafy greens here and then you have this

Shredded up I don’t even know if this is real lettuce you guys tell me down in the comment section below which one you would rather eat one that’s more nutritious and cost less or one that is just pure junk and cost more all right we’re about to make steak grilled onions

Rice and asparagus for under five bucks all right now finding a cheap piece of steak that was like the hardest thing but I was able to find a pound of ir round steak for $7.19 and since I’m using 7 o of steak that’s going to work out to being

$314 I found a four pack of Minute Rice for $259 I’m going to be using one cup so that’s going to work out to 64 I got a pound of onions for $129 I’m going to be using 1 o of onions that’s going to work

Out to being 6 Cent and 1 lb of asparagus for $2.99 I’ll be using 5 O of asparagus so that’s going to work out to being 93 and again with our oil I’m only using one to half a teaspoon that’s going to be around 1 or 2 cents so in

Total this dish is going to be $484 sents all right first things first let’s start cooking our steak so I’m going to start heating up the pan we have rice that takes a minute to make and we bought this rice because it’s quick and easy you could probably get it cheaper

If you just bought a whole bag of rice but you’d have to invest more money and it would take longer to make and let’s be real here if we’re making $5 meals chances are we don’t have the extra time to be spending either so I’m going to

Prepare my pan put a little bit of cooking oil in here let’s grab our steak we’re going to beat our meat all right I’m going to use this complete seasoning this is pretty much the best seasoning ever zero calories put a tiny bit more oil on these bad boys are ready to

Go way over oh my goodness now it’s time to drop in um all right look at that oh Yeah all right we got 5 O of asparagus all right so we’re going to put in some more onions all already they dropping our asparagus throw in a little bit of our complete seasoning and for those of you that are wondering what’s inside this complete seasoning it’s basically just like garlic onions a

Little bit of salt some spices and herbs all right so the asparagus is almost done so now it’s time to microwave our rice all right there we have our rice our asparagus is pretty much done just for some flavor purposes let’s just go ahead and throw this in the same

Pan now you can completely turn off the stove so you don’t overcook the rice just let it get some flavor in there there you have it oh my goodness gracious look at that steak grilled onions asparagus with grilled onions and some flavored rice all in just 5 minutes

The price is on point the macros are there it’s just one last thing to do get the taste test all right I’m going to have my brother give us the taste test that’s good yeah is it really it it only cost $5 to make this yeah I mean you can

Pay 20 bucks for that n this guyant let me give it a try 20 bucks for this let’s see M all right I’ll finish it here you go all right this one’s going to be interesting on the left we have our steak asparagus and rice with grilled onions for

$484 that’s 592 calories 19 G of fat 50 3 G of carbs and 48 g of protein and to compare we have Little Caesars Italian cheese bread for $5 this is going to be$ 1,340 calories 54 G of fat 135 G of carbs and 59 g of protein now 59 g of

Protein may sound like a lot and it is more than our dish but when it costs you 1,340 calories over 54 G of fat and 135 G of carbs it’s definitely not worth it the fat carbs and calories from our dish is a fraction from the little Caesars

But the protein almost matches it and when you’re trying to build muscle and get shredded your protein intake for the day should be one of your main goals for nutrition and not to mention the ingredients in here is also way more healthy and it costs less I’d rather be

Eating steak asparagus and rice anyway than some bread and cheese any day but that’s just me you guys let me know down in the comment section below which one you would prefer all right we’re going to be making spaghetti and meatballs with broccoli these are all the

Ingredients to make one serving we have 6 oz of ground beef 2 oz of spaghetti sauce plus 3 oz of broccoli and 2 oz of protein pasta so first up I got 14 1/2 oz of protein pasta for $329 protein pasta is basically the main type of pasta I’m eating nowadays I use

2 oz so that’s going to work out to being 45 one lb of lean ground beef was $649 and I’ll be using 6 o so that’s going to work out to being $283 I picked up some wrapped up fresh broccoli that was about a pound for

$2.99 I used 3 oz of broccoli so that’s going to work out to being 37 then I picked up some tomato and basil sauce for $3.69 I’m using 1/4 of a cup that’s going to work out to being 30 and then lastly again we’re going to be using our

Oil to cook with a teaspoon or half a teaspoon that’s going to work out to being a cent or two so in total this meal worked out to being $365 all right so let’s start cooking the first thing we’re going to do is get some water into a pot like this and get

It nice and warm we don’t want it boiling yet but we’re going to have that ready so you can also start warming up the pan that you’re going to use put a little bit of oil all right now we can start making these meatballs just going

To put this in here and then start adding our spices Italian garlic and our complete seasoning let’s make sure that we have the spices nice and even throughout all the meat now the size is completely up to you you like a lot of them you make them

Smaller a trick to making these cook faster is make these smaller because the smaller they are of course faster they’re going to cook with 6 oz of ground beef we’re able to make eight meatballs seems to be pretty thoroughly cooked now we can drop in our spaghetti

Sauce right on top let’s lower the heat all right while that’s cooking we’re going to heat up another little pot for our broccoli so I have that right here you can just put throw some garlic over complete seasoning and you can hit it with the Italian seasoning as well if you

Want all right let’s check on these meatballs oh yeah they look just about done I’m going to go ahead and turn off the heat so I’m going to turn up the heat on my water for the pasta while we wait for our water to get to a boil and finish

Our pasta we’re going to put that off to the side with the lid on all right the broccoli is looking and smelling a lot better now it’s almost pretty much ready you can tell by the greenness in the broccoli water’s boiling so we’re ready to make our pasta I’m going to go ahead

And throw in our protein pasta this is going to cook for about 3 minutes and we’re going to put in some salt in that water as well let’s keep stirring the pasta so it doesn’t stick it shouldn’t take too long it should only take about 3 minutes all

Right let’s check on our noodles real quick see if this is ready yeah that’s about 3 minutes and 30 seconds 4 minutes cooked on high it’s ready to go so we’re going to go ahead and strain this now and this is what I would do just

Drop it right into the pan mix all that up nice and evenly all right spaghetti and meatballs with broccoli this smells and looks so good and 48 g of protein and only $3 $65 it’s time to give it a taste test oh my God that’s absolutely delicious and slammed with protein for

Under five bucks what else can we get for five bucks all right this is going to be a good comparison on the left we have our spaghetti and meatballs with broccoli for only $365 which will be 560 calories 20 G of fat 52 G of carbs and 48 g of protein

But on the right we have the classic Whopper from Burger King for $5.3 9 cents that’s going to be 62 calories 31 G of fat 47 G of carbs and 30 g of protein so the Whopper has more calories less protein and more fat than our dish

And that’s not a good combination and the ingredients in our dish the meatballs spaghetti and pasta is going to have a greater nutritional value than the Whopper while also being a dollar cheaper and in fact this Whopper is the healthiest version you can get and the cheapest version you can get because if

You were to get it with cheese bacon or anything else it would be more expensive and more calories but you guys let me know down the comment section below which one would you rather have spinning and meatballs or the Whopper we’re going to be making two egg RS for

$2.9 doesn’t get any cheaper than that so first up we needed eggs I was able to pick up 18 eggs for $5.99 we only used four eggs so that works out to being a $1.32 then I was able to pick up a pound of onions for $1.29 and I used 1 oz of

The onion we already had one from before that’s going to work out to being 6 next I picked up 12 O of peppers for $3.89 I only used 2 oz of the peppers that’s going to work out to being 64 there’s a buy one get one on the car

Balance tortillas that I picked up for $5.65 I only use two tortillas so that works out to being. 70 and lastly we’ll be taking from our oil again half a teaspoon or so and that’s going to be around a penny or two totaling $2.70 to make two omelette burritos

Which is one serving now cooking eggs is pretty simple and straightforward but the way that I like to do it is glaze the onions in the pan first with the peppers many times if you just add the onions and the peppers in with the eggs you’ll get some raw onions in your eggs

And when you glaze the onions first like this you bring out way more flavor I’m only going to use an ounce and a half of onions let’s add in some of our Peppers now if you like you can always add a bit of seasoning you can add some

Garlic you can never go wrong with that I’ll just put it very lightly and of course if you want you can add some red pepper I’ll just add a couple flakes see to me this is the secret technique to making some delicious eggs cooking the vegetables first making them

Nice and glazed like this and then throwing in the Eggs put this lower cuz eggs cook so Fast look at that you smell that right huge difference see I like my eggs a little more dry like this but not too dry but a nice fluffy consistency just like that so these are ready to go I’m going to put this off to the side gra

Our spinach wraps heat them up a little bit let’s flip it all right just make that nice and crispy thr the other one we’re able to make two full wraps in under $3 you don’t have to sacrifice taste or your Macros protein goals this is a slam pack burrito you can’t even

Really roll this up all right bring this other one out I can’t wait to try this all right so here’s the graap Stefan you know what to do man give me a taste test 99 10 damn M two wraps under three bucks tastes delicious let’s see what other

Options we could have got all right just by looking at these two I already know which one I want to eat but on the left side we have our two egg burritos totaling $2.70 eating both of these burritos in total would be 499 calories 25 G of fat

17 G of carbs and 2 7 g of protein and to compare we have the Nacho Bell Grande from Taco Bell for $5.69 this is going to be 740 calories 38 G of fat 75 G of carbs and only 19 g of protein now this is just crazy this

Looks like vomit this looks like dog food uneditable and it’s pretty much double the cost of our egg burrito but yeah the nacho B Grande is basically half the amount of protein five times the amount of carbs 50% more fat and like 50% more calories this is like a

No-brainer to me but you guys let me know which one you would rather eat down in the comment section below all right so there you have it five healthy meals under $5 to make each one and it’s really quick to make as well it’ss all your protein and it’s low enough in

Calories so that you can stay shredded and it’s a lot healthier a lot better nutrition in macros than what’s going to be in the fast food options and a lot cheaper in comparison to how much food you’re actually eating and when it comes to taste I mean I’ll eat any one of
