Vegetable Idli Burger Recipe
Give your traditional idli a delicious twist with this Vegetable Idli Burger—a fusion snack that’s crispy, flavorful, and perfect for breakfast or an evening treat!
Method:
Prepare Idlis: Grease idli molds, pour batter, and steam for 10-12 minutes. Once cooled, slice each idli horizontally into two to resemble burger buns.
Make the Patty: In a bowl, mix mashed potatoes, carrot, peas, capsicum, spices, and cornflour. Shape into patties and shallow-fry until golden brown and crispy.
Toast the Idlis: Heat butter on a tawa and toast idli halves until slightly crispy on both sides.
Assemble the Burger: Spread a mix of mayo and ketchup on idli slices. Layer with lettuce, vegetable patty, tomato, and onion rings. Cover with the other idli half.
Serve & Enjoy: Secure with a toothpick and serve hot with chutney or ketchup!
