Ingredients:

½ cup soaked green moong dal
1 tsp ginger + green chili (optional)
1tbsp yogurt
2 tbsp suji (semolina)
Salt & pepper to taste
Sliced cucumber & tomato
Grated or sliced cheese
Oil for greasing

Method:

1. Soak green moong overnight, then grind into a thick batter.

2. Mix in salt, yogurt and suji (for binding + crispiness).

3. Grease a stovetop sandwich toaster (or tawa).

4. Spread a thin layer of batter → add cucumber, tomato, cheese → cover with another layer of batter.

5. Toast on low–medium heat for 4 min each side (8–10 min total) until golden and crisp.

6. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
