Call it Makki ke aate ki puri Or Makki ki roti Or Bhaakri Or Lusa Or Fried puri Or any other name but it tastes yummy and no doubt healthy.
Ingredients :
250gms maize flour (makki ka aata)
Salt to taste
½ tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp cumin seed (jeera)
3-4 green chillies
1 big onion
1 cup coriander leaves
Oil to fry
Process:
First all the ingredients are mixed. By adding a little water the mixture is then kneeded and made into a dough.( make sure that u dont add alot of water and make it watery). Spread water OR oil on your palms while patties are made so that it doesn’t stick to your palms and then its fried until a shade darker in color. Serve crispy and hot.
Difference between Corn flour and Maize flour:
A slight difference b/w them is Corn flour is generally a finer starch that is commonly used to thicken the curries and liquids. Here I have not used the corn flour but Maize flour which is used to make roti or paratha. I hope you get it right and not mess up with the recipe.
