You must have had Porridge for breakfast… so I wanted to use the same Daliya to make this super healthy Nutritious Daliya Khichdi.

Ingredients:
2 tbs oil
1 tbs ghee
1 cup dalia pre-soaked in water for 3–4 hours
1/2 cup rice pre-soaked in water (You may take some daal mixed with rice too if you like)
Finely chopped garlic
Finely chopped green chillies
1/2 tsp asafoetida (hing powder)
Chopped onions
Chopped carrots
Chopped French beans
Fresh green peas (matar)
Chopped cauliflower
Chopped capsicum
1 tsp haldi (asafoetida)
1 Kashmiri red chilli powder
Salt per taste
1.5 cup water

Method:
In a pressure cooker take 2 tbs oil and 1 tbs Ghee (Saturated butter)
Take some finely chopped garlic and chillies
Add 1/2 tsp hing powder (asafoetida)
Adding lots of vegetables – feel free to add the ones you like
Add 1 to 2 tbs chopped onions, carrots, french beans, cauliflower, capsicum
Add fresh peas
Mix everything well
Time to add dry masalas
Add 1 tsp Haldi & some Kashmiri red chilli powder
Mix well
Now add 1 cup dalia – which I had pre-soaked for 3-4 hours
Add 1/2 cup rice which is also pre-soaked
Mix well
Add salt
Add 1.5 cup water, stir the mixture
Add coriander leaves.
close the pressure cooker and wait for 3 whistles
Let the cooker cool down
Serve it with coriander leave as garnish
Enjoy this variation to usual khichdi; you may use dal and rice mix too.
