Trying Celebrity Favourite Recipes – Episode 1 🎬🍲
We started a new series where we recreate the favorite dishes of celebrities, and first up is R. Madhavan’s favourite Kanji ❤️
At first, we thought it was just a simple rice dish… but after trying it, we understood why it’s such a comfort-food favorite. It’s cooling, filling, gut-friendly and surprisingly delicious 🤌✨
This traditional fermented rice recipe has been enjoyed for generations and is known for its amazing health benefits too!
🌿 Benefits:

📝 Recipe:
🥣 In a pot, add cooked rice and enough water to cover it.
🥣 Leave it overnight to naturally ferment.
🥣 The next morning, remove the excess water.
🥣 Transfer the rice to a blender and add some dahi (curd). Blend coarsely. You can also mash it instead of blending.
🥣 Add lots of finely chopped coriander.
🥣 For the tadka, heat ghee and add jeera, urad dal, green chillies and chopped onions.
🥣 Cook until the onions turn golden brown.
🥣 Add the tadka to the rice mixture.
🥣 Season with salt and chaat masala as per your taste.
🥣 Mix everything well and enjoy!
