Fish contains healthy polyunsaturated fatty acids (called PUFAs) in their flesh. These PUFAs mostly EPA + DHA (omega-3 fatty acids) are responsible for many of the health benefits. These PUFAs block the development of blood vessels / blood supply to cancer cells.
Studies have shown that three ounces or more of fish daily is associated with a 31 percent decreased risk of colon cancer.
