Vegetable Mix:
Get around 1/2 cup of spinach leaves and grind them into a fine paste
Cut a small beetroot into medium-sized pieces. Then grind into a fine paste
Get 1 tbsp of dried methi or fresh chopped methi leaves
Pour 2 tsp of oil into a pan. Add 1/4 tsp of turmeric and mix
Add the dried methi and fry for 30 seconds
Here I’m showing you three types of rotis. You can make whichever one you like
Chapati Preparation:
Add in each mix to a bowl of flour (I took 1 cup of wheat flour in each bowl)
Add 1/2 tsp of salt into each bowl
Add 1 tsp of oil for the spinach and beetroot bowl
Knead the mixture and add in a little bit of water to make the chapati dough
Mix until the dough reaches the consistency shown
Do this for the other 2 bowls, and cover and rest for 10 minutes
Take a small ball of dough and roll it into chapatis
While rolling, pat the sides of the chapati with wheat flour
Use similar process to make other rotis
Chapati Frying:
Take a pan and add a little bit of ghee before frying the chapati/roti
Fry the rotis on both sides
Make sure that the rotis are soft and fluffy
Repeat this process for all of them
Now our veg rotis are ready! You can eat this with chutney or curry 🙂
