Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel it’s a collaboration today a healthy recipe ideas collaboration hosted by Melissa at I’m merely Melissa and Kirsty at kirsty’s Farmhouse and thank you both ladies for organizing this collaboration I’ve had great fun putting this together for everyone please remember to go and check
Out the playlist and check out these two ladies channels also I’ll have everything Linked In the description box so I am going for a Kish today it’s a Kish Lorraine and I’m serving it with a side salad and some large mushrooms which I needed to use out of the fridge
I filmed this video last summer I’m going to have some fabulous summer clips from gallway City at the end of the video so if you’re interested in seeing what gway city is like in the summertime please hold on till the end and enjoy the walk around gway city so here I am
Making the pastry for the kiche so I sifted the flour into a bowl add the butter and using my fingertips I rubbed the butter and the flour until it resembled breadcrumbs then I added the Egg and I mixed with a knife until the mixture just comes together I you can
See that I added a little bit of water so that the pastry would come together as well it turn onto a flowed surface and gather together into a bowl cover with a plastic wrap and chill for at least 15 minutes now I’m making the filling to go the the onions and the veg
And the bacon to go in the filling for when the pastry is ready I have the pastry in the fridge now cooling so I’m frying my onions I have some rashers all chopped up and now the pastry is out of the fridge and I’m going to roll it out roll
The pastry out between two sheets of baking paper until it is large enough to cover the base and side of a shallow loose based round flan tin measuring 10 in across the base lift the paste onto the tin and use a spare wad of pastry to
Press it firmly into the side of the tin you can trim off any excess pastry with the sharp knife or by Rolling the rolling pin across the top then you place the pastry lined flan tin into the refrigerator for 20 minutes and preheat your oven then to 190° C or 375° fah
And in the meantime then I am going to be making my filling so I’ve cooked my onion and bacon already and here I am mixing up I beat my eggs and cream and milk in a jug I season with black pepper and now I have
My base back again out of the fridge and I am covering it with crumpled baking paper and I’m going to fill it evenly with baking beads and bake for 15 minutes in the oven before I add my Filling and now I’m back to my filling actually no I’m going to pop these mushrooms on the pan so three large mushrooms I’m going to cook these and then I am going to place some cheese in the cup of the mushroom and let it out and if you’ve never tried this
Before it’s absolutely delicious if you’ve ever any type of mushroom to use up and you want to do something different with it this is a delicious healthy treat so I’m just going to let the cheese melt in the mushrooms while they sit on a warm pan now I’m adding my
Filling so I add my bacon and onions to the base of the the the pastry and now I’m adding in my creamy eggy mixture so lots of calcium lots of protein some iron in this dish and then you’re going to have your lovely side salad as
Well I am going to sprinkle my cheese on top my gr cheese and then your kich is going to go back in the oven for 30 minutes or until golden and set I will have the recipe of this in the description box so don’t worry about
It here I am cutting up my lovely kich and ready to serve and it was such a beautiful day this day we ate outside which always makes any meal extra special especially in the west of Ireland where it’s not always in a summer’s day that you get to
Eat outside but this day was great and please God we’ll all have some some sunny weather to look forward to in the very near future now I’m just putting together the salad for dinner and I’ve have lettuce cucumbers and little cherry tomatoes in here and I’m adding in some
Of my salad dressing I have the recipe of this salad dressing on my channel so there we go quick mix up and that’s salad ready for dinner and here was our delicious dinner served up outside of the sunshine I decided to go with the Summer’s theme
Today as we are all stuck in the middle of winter and I know some people especially in the states are going through some very very cold weather so I just thought this would give everybody a little glimpse of please God what’s in the future for all of us very soon as we
Enter into spring and then into summer so thank you all for joining me I hope you enjoy your walk through the streets of gallway on this beautiful Sunny June day and I thank you again Kirsty and Melissa for hosting this collaboration I’ll talk to you all again soon please God God bless Bye it to his and his life Eternally all of you the Must He He Yeah B He He W He W
