180 million eggs are purchased for Easter every year. Many families enjoy the tradition of spending creative quality time painting hard-boiled eggs together. But what do you do with the leftover eggs? Eggs are a versatile, nutrient-dense healthy source of protein. In fact, a large egg has about 78 calories and 6 grams of protein. A noteworthy key nutrient is choline, a B vitamin involved in building cell membranes and the brain’s signaling molecules.

Leftover hardboiled eggs can be used for a range of things like snacks, salads and sandwiches. Check out these sandwich ideas to make the most of the Easter leftovers:

Let’s make three sandwiches with those leftover hard-boiled Easter eggs I wish I could tell you we had leftover hardboiled Easter eggs that we painted growing up and I want to know in the comments if anyone else suffered through this but instead of boiling eggs and painting them we’d poke a needle

Through both tips of the egg and blow out the contents while it was still raw and for this the hole had to be small enough to make sure the finished product was beautiful and it didn’t crack too easily but big enough for the contents to go through so imagine the thick

Contents of a yolk and even that egg white going through that tiny hole we did it so that the eggs we painted could be saved for art for future years which I’m never sure we did but as a kid it felt like it took forever and your mouth

Was sore for literal days it was like blowing up pool toys on steroids but at least it was super special when we got to that painting part did anyone else do this
