This **Sumac Chicken** is bursting with Middle Eastern-inspired flavours—zesty, warm, and perfectly spiced. The best part? The marinade does most of the work while you get on with the rest of mum life. Pop it in the oven and let the magic happen!
✨ What you’ll need:
– 6 chicken legs
– 3 tbsp olive oil
– 2 tbsp lemon juice
– 3 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 tbsp plain yoghurt (optional for extra tenderness)
– 1 tsp each of: cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, sumac
– ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
– 1 tsp oregano or thyme
– Salt and pepper to taste
👩🍳 How to make it:
1. Mix all marinade ingredients in a bowl until smooth.
2. Coat the chicken thoroughly and let it marinate for at least 2 hours (overnight is even better).
3. Roast at 200°C for 35–40 mins, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.
