Crispy Bread Cheela Squares – A 5-minute snack recipe that’s healthy, tasty & fun!
Using leftover bread and basic veggies, this twisty recipe is perfect for lunchboxes, evening cravings, or chai-time munching! 🌽🥕🍞
Ingredients:
– 2 bread slices
– 3 tbsp besan (gram flour)
– Water (to make paste)
– 1 pinch turmeric
– 1 chopped green chilli
– 1 tbsp chopped onions
– 1 tbsp boiled corn & peas
– 1 tbsp chopped tomatoes
– 1 tbsp grated carrot
– Salt to taste
– Fresh coriander
– Oil for cooking
– Schezwan chutney & ketchup to serve
Instructions:
1. Cut the center out of both bread slices, making a square frame (keep edges intact).
2. In a bowl, mix besan and water to make a smooth paste.
3. Add turmeric, green chilli, onion, corn, peas, tomato, carrot, salt, and coriander. Mix well.
4. Heat a pan and add a little oil. Place the bread frame on the pan.
5. Pour the veggie mixture into the hollow center of the bread.
6. Cover and cook both sides till golden and crispy.
7. Serve hot with schezwan chutney and ketchup!
