Rinse and soak: Rinse 2 cup of green gram thoroughly and soak it in a bowl with plenty of water for 8 to 12 hours.

Drain and tie: Drain all the water and rinse the beans again. Transfer them into a clean, thin cotton cloth or muslin, tie it tightly into a bundle, and place it in a bowl.

Sprout: Leave the bundle in a warm, dark place for 12 to 24 hours. The beans will begin to sprout, and you can rinse and repeat the process for longer sprouts.
