Poha upma is very healthy breakfast and goes good with coconut chutney.
It requires minimal oil and perfect for lunch box recipe for kids
Ingredients are mentioned below:
Poha 3cups
Tamarind 2 lemon sized balls soaked in water
Mustard seeds 2tsp
Split urad dhal 2tsp
channa dhal 1tsp
Turmeric powder 1tsp
Jaggery little for flavour
curry leaves few
Red chilli 4
Green chilly 4
Grated coconut 3tbsp
Notes
Make sure to use thick poha as thin poha breaks easily.
Make sure to soak the poha with tamarind,water,salt and turmeric for 3hrs max(Pre preparation needed)
It’s perfect for breakfast with minimal oil and authentic too.
This can be packed even for lunch which stays good and fresh for atleast a day.
